It is beautiful here - I'm so excited. I'll post a photo of the view of the Caribbean from my room here in a bit. The people here speak in british-caribbean reggae in incomplete sentences. "Bloody hell" gets thrown in there often. Everyone is polite and courteous. The vehicles sport decals reading: Lion Growwl, Smooth, and Give Thanks. The Carib beer is cheaper than water, and there are no traffic lights; only roundabouts. The new students were packed into vans and we watched as our luggage was piled impossibly high over the tops of the toy truck cabs. Hit IGA, the grocery, which had a surprisingly wide selcetion. Cereal costs $16 a box!! I loaded up on provisions, and I'm off to unpack. We hit the beach tomorrow; I'll bring the camera : )
