Back on the rock

Greetings

First day of class, new semester. Classes include: Pathology II, Pharmacology II, Clinical Pathology, Mechanisms of Disease and Epidemiology. Count 'em, that's FIVE graduate level courses 19 hours. Time to get ready to settle into my usual spot in the library. The material seems a bit dry, but I'm less anxious as it becomes more clinical. Now I can apply the scores of parasites, viruses, and bacteria that I've crammed into my head to actual case studies.

I'm rounding up my usual study buddies. I've got one main partner that I spend most of my time with; he and I learn so similarly its eery. Our notes are almost identical. I also study with another pair of friends and we start group study sessions as we near exam time. One of our houses became finals HQ last month. Somehow I left a variety of items, most importantly coffee + mug strewn about their apartment.

This week I'll be getting acquainted with new professors, greeting old friends and saying goodbye to others on their way off the island. I'm trying to get myself in the sun before the work actually kicks in. I had a long break in NC where I most enjoyed riding Pags, who is 17 this year. We schooled a few XC jumps; I'll dig up some photos.

Otherwise, back to the grind.

bye for now.
