Went on a trail ride this morning with the student chapter of the AAEP - Amer Assoc of Equine Practitioners. Let's just say it was interesting. The horses are much smaller here and not in good condition. We went through cane fields and then the jungle. There's a cruise ship at port so we got the second rate steeds. They save the nicer looking horses for the tourists. The "guide" has his bridle on backwards and upside down and was trying to give me riding tips. Right. But it was nice to be back on a horse again, and they have a handful of cremello paints with white mane + tail, which pulls at my heartstrings.
That's the only break I've allowed myself all week. Actually I went to see Gamer. It's nice to go to the theater here. It's just like the states - stadium seats, same popocorn, candy, etc. always freezing. Feels like we're back at home just for a moment. Anway its been study all day and all night. My friends are appalled that I've put my love affair with the sea on hold for now. I didn't join them for volleyball - stayed in the library instead. Monster Nutrition exam on Tues...
