Yesterday the Adventure Club had its first outing. A large group of students + dogs did a 2 hour hike to a bat cave (more like a crevice). That was our first experience in the jungle and it was pretty exciting. There wasn't much wildlife given that there were so many of us. The halfway point involves climbing up a rope between a large rock mound which was interesting. Leave it to a horde of veterinary students to figure out a way to harness the dogs and pull them up 15 feet to the rock. The dogs were in heaven (so am I, clearly)! Later we hit the beach, seeing as its the last weekend before classes begin. This morning, a few new friends and I organized our first dive, so I'll let you know how it goes. I was recently certified and have been aching to get a tank and hit the ocean. There are a multitude of shipwrecks, an underwater city, and plenty of shark and night dives that await me...
- take care -
